Editorial policy

Original summaries and transparent sourcing

We write our own summaries and link to underlying reporting, releases or data. We prefer original company announcements, government releases, association materials and primary research. Secondary reporting is labeled as such. Credit alone is not permission to reproduce an entire article, photograph or chart.

Selection and exclusions

We consider RV-business relevance, freshness, source quality and distinct developments. Politics and policy are covered for their documented business implications, without endorsing parties, candidates or political choices.

We exclude RV Business and RVBusiness reporting, including their domains and attributed syndicated copies. An event may still be covered from an independent original source; another publisher is not used to disguise excluded reporting.

Dates, claims and analysis

Publication dates and event or data dates are checked separately. Company claims are attributed. Proposed measures are distinguished from measures in force, and announced transactions from completed transactions. Our discussion of RV-industry significance is labeled analysis.

We do not invent events or silently recycle older stories on quiet news days.

Review, conflicts and corrections

News drafts require publisher review before release, including sources, dates, repeated events, rights, sensitive claims and commercial conflicts. AI-assisted drafting does not replace this review.

Publisher Adam Smith is also involved with Smith & Johnson Industries and Alinea Sales Group. Relevant business relationships must be disclosed in affected coverage. Sponsorship is labeled and separate from editorial selection.

Verified material corrections will be explained in a dated note on the affected article. A material error already distributed by email may also require a follow-up correction.
